The smaller Tortalleons, those too small to sail on, become the Tortun's heavy infantry. The Pygmies are taught to strike with their foreclaws, while standing on their hindlegs and balancing on their tail.

The Tortalleon Pygmy has been the source of much controversy due to it's main trick: "Combo Attack: Devastate". The Pygmy is typicaly used by players in conjunction with the spell Time Slip, to guarantee an almost certain kill at more than 10 spaces away. Being Unstoppable, there is little one can do to avoid or outdistance him. Blocking it's path with relics/terrain, or outdistancing it by more than 20 spaces, are the most ubiquitous ways to block this combonation.
Combo Attack: Devastate was originaly on base, but was moved to upgrades in order to prevent it's abuse as a summon from the Tortun Portalmage.
Taking the rune by itself, the Pygmy combines an efficient Nora to HP ratio, with a fearsome damage,a DoT (from Rend), and the constant threat of a sudden Combo Attack: Devestate to harass the enemy. His downsides are his low base speed and the fact he can’t store the 10 AP needed to trigger his Combo Attack outside of Full Faction K'thir Forest.
Tortalleon Pygmy was released with Pace instead of Accrue. He remained in that form for only a few days.
